In a thrilling development for artists and performers across Sri Lanka, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (@iccr_delhi) has announced an extension of the deadline for the 2nd Pratibha Sangam Competition. Now, aspiring talents in Indian dance, Hindustani, and Carnatic music from Sri Lanka have until November 24th, 2023, to showcase their remarkable skills on a global platform.
The 2nd Pratibha Sangam Competition, an initiative by the ICCR, aims to spotlight and celebrate the richness of Indian culture on an international scale. As the cultural arm of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, the ICCR has been dedicated to promoting Indian heritage globally through its Indian Cultural Centers across the world.
This prestigious competition invites participants from various countries to exhibit their expertise in Classical Indian Music and Dances.
Esteemed judges, drawn from leading exponents of these performing arts in India, will assess and evaluate the performances, ensuring a fair and distinguished competition.
One of the most exciting aspects of this competition is that the winners will have the incredible opportunity to perform live in India at specially organized events, adding a prestigious milestone to their artistic journey.
Who can participate? This competition is open to citizens and PIOs from multiple countries, including Sri Lanka! However, NRIs are not eligible to participate. Individuals should be between 15 and 50 years old, falling into two age categories – 15 to 30 years and 31 to 50 years.
Concerned about privacy? The ICCR assures that all personal information provided by participants will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
Only basic details such as name, age, gender, award category, and country will be shared when announcing the winners. By submitting entries, participants grant ICCR the rights to use their videos for promotional purposes.
