At the “Sabuddhi” Poetry Festival, Sethmini Dileka of the University of Colombo’s Sinhala language Department triumphed with the 2023 Poetry Award. Sandun Jayawardena, a distinguished literary scholar, was honored with the esteemed Sabuddhi Kavya Gold Award for the year. Sudath Abeysekera, a revered artist, sculptor, and literary figure, received the prestigious Sabuddhi Kavya Appreciation Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions.
Last Sunday (19), the 2023 Sabuddhi Poetry Festival took place at the Colombo Public Library Conference Hall, orchestrated by the Sabuddhi Literary Circle. The event also commemorated the Golden Jubilee of the Sabuddhi Poetry Dialogue.
