At a recent press conference held by the Api Sri Lanka Organization at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo, Mr. Prasanna Adhikari raised serious allegations concerning international interference and corruption in Sri Lanka’s political landscape. He claimed that the political party led by Mr. Ranjan Ramanayake is, in reality, directed by a political and financial criminal with connections to the LTTE. According to Adhikari, these forces are attempting to achieve through ballots what Prabhakaran could not accomplish through bullets.

Mr. Adhikari further warned that these international elements, linked to the LTTE, are working to transform Sri Lanka into a “digital prison camp” by acquiring control over more than 20 media channels and manipulating digital information networks.
In his remarks, Adhikari also questioned Ramanayake’s anti-corruption stance, suggesting that he himself is complicit in corrupt activities.
Adding to these allegations, Dr. Mohan Perera, Chairman of the Democratic National Alliance, stated that Ali Raja—the actual owner behind Ramanayake’s United Democratic Voice Party—is attempting to distort public opinion by financially influencing various political parties and candidates in the country. Dr. Perera claimed that Ali Raja has even purchased candidates within his own political party, extending his influence to independent factions presented in this year’s election.

Dr. Perera asserted that he possesses significant evidence, including audio recordings, to corroborate these claims, underscoring the urgent need for transparency and vigilance in Sri Lankan politics.
During the press conference, numerous details were disclosed regarding the close relationship between Tamil Nadu LTTE leader Ali Raja and his Lyca Mobile company. Mr. Gayan Perera, Director of the Policy Pillar Institute, presented several pieces of evidence supporting these claims.
