Mohan Perera Urges Indian High Commissioner to Refrain from Supporting Allirajah Subaskaran and His Party

In a strong statement made to the Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka during a press conference held in Colombo yesterday, Mr. Mohan Perera, Chairman of the Democratic National Alliance, urged the Indian High Commissioner to distance themselves from Allirajah Subaskaran, the Chairmen of Lyca Mobile, and his political party.

Mr. Perera cautioned that Allirajah Subaskaran and his group, whose actions are driven by separatist objectives, pose a significant threat not only to Sri Lanka’s territorial integrity but also to the peace and stability of India. He warned that their agenda could lead to Tamil Nadu separating from India, potentially becoming the next Pakistan or Bangladesh.

The DNA leader also highlighted the close association between Allirajah Subaskaran and Tamil Nadu film actor Joseph Vijay. He expressed concern that, through their political program, Tamil Nadu could be pushed towards secession from India.

Mr. Perera went on to criticize the separatist politics of individuals like Allirajah Subaskaran, who has faced accusations of political and financial crimes, stating that their views are in direct contrast to the political ideology of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
