One of the most significant national holidays of our country brought together friends of Russia at a grand reception held at the ITC Colombo Hotel.
The festive event welcomed more than 300 guests, including heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states, prominent public figures, former President of Sri Lanka Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa, former Sri Lankan ambassadors to Russia, representatives of the Association of Sri Lankan Graduates from Soviet countries, members of the business community, and representatives of Sri Lanka’s academic circles.
The evening was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, serving as yet another testament to the strong ties between Russia and Sri Lanka, built on many years of friendship, mutual respect, and cultural dialogue.
