Ambassador Chung conveyed that during this week, Senator Van Hollen and herself will be actively engaged in exploring Sri Lanka’s economic recovery strategies. They will engage in discussions to identify opportunities for bolstering their partnership and reinforcing their shared commitment to upholding democratic principles.
Furthermore, Ambassador Chung underscored the Senator’s unique connection to Sri Lanka, as he resided in the country during the tenure of his father, Chris Van Hollen Sr., who served as the US Ambassador from 1972 to 1976.
