Wollongong’s premier music and arts event, the Yours and Owls Festival, is set to captivate attendees this weekend, March 1-2, 2025, at the scenic Flagstaff Hill on South Beach. This year’s festival boasts an impressive lineup of international and local artists, promising a vibrant celebration of music and culture.
Stellar Lineup
Headlining the festival are renowned acts such as Fontaines D.C. from Ireland, American rapper Denzel Curry, British indie rockers The Kooks, and the iconic Goo Goo Dolls from the USA. The diverse roster also includes Elderbrook (UK), Hockey Dad, Honey Dijon (USA), JPEGMAFIA (USA), The Jungle Giants, Peach PRC, Salute (Austria), and The Veronicas, among others. Pill Testing Initiative
In a landmark move, Yours and Owls will be the inaugural festival in New South Wales to offer government-run pill testing services. This initiative, part of a 12-month trial by the NSW government, aims to enhance harm reduction by allowing festival-goers to have their substances tested for purity and contaminants. While the festival maintains a zero-tolerance drug policy, co-founder Ben Tillman supports the program, emphasizing the importance of realistic harm reduction approaches.
Road Closures and Transport
To accommodate the festival, several road closures and traffic changes will be in effect around the Flagstaff Hill area. Attendees are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly and consider using public transportation to ease congestion.
